# How can floor plans be added?

## Floor plans can be added to any area containing resources at any time. Different plans can be uploaded for workspaces, parking spots, and meeting rooms.

When you open an area, you're provided with various configuration options as described here.

Additionally, you can see on the right side that you can upload a file.

The file **must not exceed 1MB** in size

and only the image formats **JPG and PNG** are accepted.

With the three icons, you can switch between **workstations, meeting rooms, and parking spaces**, and upload a plan for each of them. These plans will be displayed during the booking process based on the icon selected by the user.

If the plan for meeting rooms and workstations is the same, it needs to be uploaded for both icons because there are different booking interfaces for each of them.

Once you have uploaded a plan and have already created workstations in that area, you can make the plan interactive. 

### Here are some tips for setting up room plans:

1. Number the tables from 1 again when starting a new dropdown (e.g., when dividing a floor into sections). This way, you won't have to renumber all the tables if you add a![](https://customers.seatti.co/hubfs/image-png-Aug-17-2023-01-22-00-1684-PM.png) new one.
2. Upload the larger image for the overview plan first to help your employees orient themselves.
3. For the smaller area below, you can show more detailed table layouts to enable users to choose a specific table.

Additionally, we have created a **toolbox** to help you easily create clear room plans. Thistoolbox is available for

- Adobe Illustrator

- Visio
- MS Powerpoint
