With the check-in feature in Seatti, you can easily confirm that you are occupying the reserved seat. If you happen to not show up, the seat will be released again, allowing your colleagues to use it instead.
To prevent seats from being blocked without actual occupancy, Seatti offers a check-in feature. This functionality is available both directly in the Seatti app and also as a Check-In Assistant in the Teams chat. The Check-In Assistant reminds you of your office booking and prompts you to check in!
The check-in feature in Seatti helps keep the office organized. You need to confirm that you're actually using your reserved seat, otherwise it will be released, and your colleagues can book it instead. This ensures that the meeting functionality information remains reliable as well.
Check-In in the App
If your organization has enabled the check-in feature, when you open your Seatti app on the day of your booking, you will find your reserved desk. Below it, you'll see two buttons that prompt you to check in for your desk or release your booked spot.
The green Check-In button has a countdown that shows you how much time you have left to confirm that you're using your booking.
In the last 10 minutes, the button turns red, so make sure to hurry!
The time window for the check-in is defined by your Seatti admin. If you have any questions about this, please reach out to the relevant colleagues internally.
Releasing Your Booking
If you don't check in within the specified time, the spot will be automatically released after
the countdown expires. You'll be notified accordingly.
This notification disappears once you click elsewhere.
If you change your mind and decide not to use your workspace reservation after all, you can easily delete it using the Release button. This way, someone else has the opportunity to use that spot. Additionally, you're helping your colleagues who manage the office and its occupancy, as this ensures accurate analysis possibilities.
If you make a booking for today, you will be automatically checked in, as Seatti assumes that your plans won't change at such short notice, saving you a step.
If you're worried about forgetting to check in once you're at the office, you can also use the Seatti Assistant! It can send you a check-in reminder in the chat.
